Several trading approaches for gold

Breakout Bull is a fully automated copy trading system for the gold market (XAU/USD). Rather than relying on a single approach, several coordinated trading logics work in parallel: calm daily breakouts as well as short-term momentum setups. These approaches trade at different times and follow different rules, so their correlation with one another is low. This is designed to produce a smoother overall performance than a single gold strategy would typically deliver. Despite its name, Breakout Bull trades in both directions and can profit from rising as well as falling gold prices.

Clear rules for every trade

With around 800 trades per year, from Monday to Friday, Breakout Bull is an active strategy with clear rules. Every position is opened with a fixed stop-loss. There is no averaging down, and neither martingale nor grid methods are used. All positions are closed before the weekend.

Backtest, risk and fees

In a backtest covering just over 11 years (2015 to April 2026, more than 9,200 trades), the strategy achieved an average of 143.8% per year on a fixed working capital of CHF 10,000, without compounding. At the same time, every test year saw drawdowns of between 12 and 29% of the capital invested. Breakout Bull is therefore clearly aimed at investors with a high risk appetite. The strategy has been trading live since July 2026. The 35% performance fee is charged only on profits actually made.
